There are tons of action heros on the big screen. There is a great action hero in the Bible as well. Jael is that hero, whose story can be found in Judges.

Sisera's mother, Jael, was waiting for someone to come who is dead. How sad! Many people today are waiting for things who are dead. It's a tragic picture when people wait on the dead. If you feel like things are always against you and you have anxiety and you're waiting for something for it to change without the Blood of Christ, then you're waiting will yield you nothing as you are waiting for something that is dead.

Do you have Peace of God? He gives us the peace from anxiety. He gives us freedom. You can have Peace with God AND the Peace of God. If you think that doing good things and being a good person will get you to Heaven, you are waiting for the dead. Understand that you can work your way to salvation. When you get to Heaven, you may be surprised at who is there and who is not. You need to understand that Grace is a Gift from God and it needs to be accepted in order to get to Heaven. You can't earn salvation.

Right action leads to right feeling which leads to right emotions, not the other way around. Some don't act unless they feel like it. In Mark 5, a woman touched Jesus' cloak and was immediately healed. When did she feel healed? When she acted first!

Sometimes we're waiting to move forward while waiting on the dead. Does that make sense? Yet, so many people do it! So many wait for power without looking for it or going after it. You receive power when you receive the Holy Spirit. Are you waiting for promotion without being faithful right where you are? You need to say "I'm faithful where I'm at and I know that God will be faithful!" Does this sound like a much better attitude to have!

Don't just hope things will get better. You have to decide!
