He was considered the greatest of the Old Testament prophet. His name means the salvation of Jehovah. He is Isaiah. His destiny was known at his birth; you could see it in his name. Isaiah had a close encounter of the supernatural kind: he say the Lord and saw the Glory of God. He chased after the Glory. We need to follow his example and chase the Glory. If parents aren't chasing God, how can we expect our children to chase God? Many in America have lost the Fear of God. We have lost some of the awe. It's healthy to have that Fear of God. When you have the Glory of God, you are on a collision course between His Holiness and our sinfulness. Isaiah had a critical condition. Critical means important, but it also means to put something or someone under scrutiny and evaluation. When he became aware of his sin, Isaiah responded with humility, not with offensiveness. He became better, not bitter. He repented and became purified. Isaiah felt the effect of being touched by fire. Our job is to live under the influence of His Fire consistently. This purification allows us to flourish and have the clarity to follow Him and reject sin. Isaiah had a calling, a response and a sending. The call led to his consistent obedience. He served God radically. He answered the call 100%, not the way he wanted to answer. He went full-bore for God. He was put into a log and sawed in two. He went to the grave worshiping God: he had no regrets. Isaiah's words were left behind and were used by many, including Jesus, to lead people to God. Isaiah followed God faithfully and then let God take care of the results. We need to be out witnessing and letting God handle the rest! God is looking for someone to go for Him and spread the word, allowing Him to do the rest. Are you that someone?
