Today we're discussing creative repurposing. Former Reno 911 alum Niecy Nash talks about this in her new show, Clean House. "Dr. Doo" at the Seattle Zoo also does creative repurposing. He takes the zoo animals' excrement and distributes it to the Seattle area to so that people have good fertilizer for their gardens and landscaping. Americans throw away 21 billion pounds of clothing and groups like Savers and Goodwill sell this second-hand clothing. How about Diamond Safety Concepts? They grind up old tires and use them as cushioning for artificial surface football fields and childrens' playgrounds. How about Pringles? Their made from potato scraps!

When we receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior, we are repurposing our lives. Being about titles and works is nothing but filthy rags to God. All is counted as loss compared to your personal relationship with Christ. When the ship is sinking, you throw everything overboard to stay afloat. If your life is based on awards, those things eventually fade. If your life is based on knowing Christ, it won't fade.

In life, most people are PMS people: Power, Money and Sex. None of these things are enough to satisfy even the most elite Hollywood stars and wealthy business owners. Go from a PMS person to a GTG person: Glory To God. When your attitude is to giving glorification to God when receiving an acknowledgement or award, you can use that acknowledgement to share the glory with others...it's not just about you. When you know Him, you want to know Him more! The same is true for those who learn about God through you!

When we get repurposed, we have a difference in power. Before Christ, the power was within yourself. It's all about "me, me, me". Because we're human, we fail. The world eventually fails because the world puts power into other people. But, when the world looks to the Power of God, the have the Power of the Ressurection.

It doesn't matter what you've built in the past; he doesn't care about the messes and the structural damage within yourself. He wants the site; He wants the real you to build something entirely new inside of you!

When Christ repurposed us, there is a price to be paid. The rest of the story after knowing Christ is that we have to die to self. We have to be willing to die daily to our wants and our selfish behavior. This is easily more said than done. It's hard. It's takes a lot of focus and attention.

Think about the cross. It's not just Christ's cross. It's our cross. Our selves have died upon that and we now focus our attention on Him.

So, where are you at? Are you all about stuff or are you all about Him? In order to be fulfilled, you need to find Jesus.
