Can sin after sin be forgiven?

(July 20, 2008)
Can a Christian continue to commit the same sins daily and still be forgiven? Sometimes we get stuck in "ditto praying", that is going through the motions and expecting God to "ditto forgive".

Can one continue to walk in rebellion and be clean? Remember that nothing you can ever do will make God love you more...or less.

Luckily, God's love is not dependent on us. (Whew!) But, there is a difference between God's love and God's desire.

So then, will ditto sin still be forgiven? Yes, but...

Why would a Christian want continue to walk in rebellion? Also, is a person who walks in rebellion truly a Christian? If you are wallowing in sin, then you need to check your relationship with God. Do you have a true relationship with God or do you just have "fire insurance?"

When we accept Christ, we die to sin. The devil wants to win over your testimony. God cleanses us and redeems us, yet we still find sin. The purpose of Salvation is to give you a new life. You are not a sinner who sometimes acts like a saint, but a saint who sometimes sins.

Once you are saved, God expects you to present yourself to Him. We do not have to obey sin. When you get caught up in continual sin, you become a slave to the sin. With true Grace, you are truly free. Guilt and sin are side effects of habitual sin.

We can have freedom today...it's a choice!
