What is stewardship? Simply managing the resources that God has given us for His Glory. What are you doing with what God has given to you?

Of the following models, which model are you following currently? Of the following models, which model are you wanting to follow?

The Foolish Steward: What makes a steward foolish? He thinks what he has is his. It's all about I, I, I... The problem in America is that we have so many choices about what we can do with our talents. The Foolish Steward chooses the wrong ones for his talents. It's not an issue of choices. It's an issue of control. Jesus is savior to many, but only Lord to a few. Everyone wants to be saved, but many are unwilling to allow Him to be our Lord. Lord means He owns us!

The Faithful Steward: He is all in. So many times we just want to test the waters. When it comes to your stewardship, you have to be all in. Little is much when God is in it. If the world's banking system understands the concept of compound interest, do you think that God can take a little and make a lot? Being faithful can simply make little into a lot.

The Fearful Steward: He has a poverty mindset and a fear of inefficiency. His thought is that his gift is insufficient to this world. What he didn't understand is that we are all accountable whether we were given one gift of one million gifts. God doesn't want to receive back what He gave us; He expects you to multiply that. God considers doing nothing with your talent as a sin. What you are given with your gifts today will determine what gifts you will receive tomorrow.

The Fulfillment Steward: He takes what he's given and multiplies it. God gives us provision, thus giving us pro vision. We are never rewarded for just existing. God expects you do to something great for your life. You have to put your talents into practice!

Which one are you like today? Are you the Foolish? Are you the Faithful? Are you the Fearful? Are you the Fulfilled? If you aren't the one you want to be, then it's time for you to stretch toward the one you want to become. You can be the steward that you want to be for the Glory of God!
