When God saves us, he changes our hearts, but he usually allows us to keep our personalities. He lets us use our personality to help further His Kingdom.

Someday it will natural to be supernatural:

"No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below...' "
Acts 2:16-19

We need to become more natural about being supernatural. We have a tendency to believe those who have dreams who are in the Bible, but we doubt those who say they have dreams to our face. We know that there are counterfeits out there, but there has to be the real article, correct? The reason that we have doubt on many occasions is because the devil has caused many to cry wolf about their dreams. However, the gift of discernment gives allows us to tell what dreams are from God. Supernatural encounters are possible and something that He desires, but, on so many occasions, we've been taught to be sceptical, so we disbelieve all dreams.

Experience leads to intimacy. He longs to be intimate with us so we should long to be intimate with Him. However, we don't want to seek experience. We want to seek Jesus. We don't want to just say that a particular experience is cool. It's about genuinely seeking Him.

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength."
Ephesians 1:17-19

The more you seek to know Him, the more He will reveal Himself to us. To know God is to experience God. It's not just to do, do, do. It's to experience Him. We sing songs like I am a Friend of God. Are you? We seem to make supernatural knowledge as something spooky and it takes away from our understanding of Him and what His course is for our lives. God will not contradict Himself. If God tells you to do something that is not His Word, it is not from God.

The more you read of God, the more you gain the God experience. God is the Abba Father. When you ask your mother for a hug, does she ever deny you? If you tell God that you are hungry for Him and for His Love, He will not deny you. He Loves us! How can He turn us down when we seek Him? Let God choose what you need best! Don't come to Him with some preconceived notion of what you want from Him.

"When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. 'Oh, my Lord, what shall we do?' the servant asked. 'Don't be afraid,' the prophet answered. 'Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.' And Elisha prayed, 'O Lord, open his eyes so he may see.' Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha."
II Kings 6:15-17

God wants you to open your eyes, too. Just because you haven't experienced the supernatural realm doesn't mean that it isn't right in front of you nose. Don't ask God for a certain experience, just ask for Him! Have you ever asked the question 'Why not me?' Ask Him!
