![]() Right now, the Church of Jesus Christ needs more power than ever. The TV news is absolutely depressing. Stories of food shortages, financial crises and fallen leaders all lead Christians to want to simply hunker down while under attack. But God wants you to put on the "whole armor" and stand ready. God lifts us up over the world system. God wants to take you and place you on a supernatural level. Salvation is something we need to cherish, but that is only the beginning, not the end: it's only the first supernatural level. Many have the attitude that "I'm saved, so that's good enough, right?" God said I will send you another counselor. In otherwords, someone will be there who can do for you when you can't do for yourself. We have an advocate here on earth. We all know someone who has helped us rise above a major issue or family matter. The great news is that Jesus is our advocate in Heaven as well! Right this instant, Jesus is pleading your case before the Father, His gift for simply receiving Him. Many times, our first instict to search for advice is to dig up the self-help books or to contact a close, personal friend. When was the last time you just looked up? God wants you to go to Him first as He is the Great Advisor. God resides within you. He will not leave you an orphan. God meets your emotional, physical and financial needs. He will be with you always and at all times and in all situations. He will not leave your side. When you get spirit-filled, the next level of the supernatural, you begin to look at people in a different way and you understand the ministry and plan of Christ in a new way. Not only that, but your plan is now changed. Being spirit-filled allows you to be bold. It allows you to move for Him. For example, shy introverts who were saved are now radical preachers who are spirit-filled Christians. The Holy Spirit is your down payment for Heaven, giving you a taste of what you can expect after your life. If you live in the supernatural realm, the supernatural will follow you where ever you go. When the Holy Spirit arrives, you don't have the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit has you! Pray: Lord, fill me today. Take me to a higher level beyond that of being saved. Make me a spirit-filled believer and make my plan your plan. Amen! Read: John 14:15-21, Hebrews 6:4-6 - Pastor Jon Pastor Leona Sattison Secretary James Bruney Worship Leader ![]() |
