(Jerry Singh of One-Way Evangelistic Ministries in Cheyenne, WY was our guest evangelist on Sunday.)

In 1991, Jerry made his first trip to Zion and met the great people from Fremont. It isn't a one-man show, even their son, Daniel, was working on winning souls and talking about Jesus at a rest stop on the way in to Indiana. Their humble beginnings were in the Zion Youth Group and Jerry did a martial arts demonstration. The kids were so impressed that they invited him to join them for roller skating...the single most humiliating day in his life!

The Mission of One-Way Evangelistic Ministries is to present the Lord Jesus Christ as the world's only savior, exclusively, unequivocally and uncompromisingly. The premise of this ministry is structured upon John 14:6, Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

God had designed for Jerry to journey this way, to spread the world of God and the message of Jesus Christ around the world. Many of the people who his family ministered to over the years are serving Jesus Christ and are witnesses to many more around the world. Every day, the Singh family works to spread the Good News. They share the gospel at homeless shelters, detention centers, colleges and camps & orphanages in foreign lands. Josh McDowell told Jerry that he was his hero! Josh went on to add that there are no superstars in ministry.

Jerry's young son, Isaiah, at a crusade in Trinidad & Tobago, helped his Dad to pray with folks to bring them into Christ. His other son, Daniel, sat with a sad-looking man in North Platte, Nebraska, and witnessed to him, proving that you can be a missionary whoever and wherever you are.

Jerry was presented the gospel in his native Trinidad when he was a child and he accepted Jesus Christ. No one in thousands of years of his family tree accepted Jesus and now he takes his time to share Jesus and win souls to Christ.

Jerry's wife, Kathy, wasn't raised as a Christian. She was raised in Wisconsin and she went to Australia and actually accepted Christ there. She met Jerry at a ministry training near her home in Wisconsin and she asked him out. They were married a year later and they later moved to Wyoming to begin their evangelistic ministry.

Jerry grew up wanting to be just like John Wayne. He had a cowboy hat (a coconut), a gun (a bamboo stick) and a horse (a goat). But, as he was growing up, his family prepped him to become a Hindu priest. He was an idol worshipper. He believed in karma. It took God and the Savior to intervene and show His love for Jerry and break him from his bondage and began a relationship with him. Jerry was healed and forgiven as he accepted Christ. The joy flooded his soul.

At 14, he told his grandfather that he became a Christian. His grandfather and his uncles came out and gave Jerry a major beating. He was kicked out of the village and forced to live under a bridge. He didn't give up. He persisted to find out more about Jesus and made it his mission to spread the gospel back to those people in Trinidad and others around the world. God has given Jerry and his family the opportunity to intervene with others as someone did with him long ago.

Jerry's message for us this morning: Meet with Him. There is tremendous freedom in answer the call to know Jesus. Jerry urges us to read from II Peter 3 about the scoffers who will come in the last days. Understand that the moment that you accept Christ know that things will change. Scoffers will try and supress the truth, reject it and deny it. Peter is pointing us back to creation. If God created the world, then we have to also accept that God made the rules. When we deliberately walk away from the truth, know that there is a price to pay for breaking His rules. Peter also spoke of the Second Coming. It is coming.
